Astros announce Spring Training report dates

HOUSTON -- Astros pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to Kissimmee, Fla., on Feb. 18, for the start of Spring Training and work out for the first time on Feb. 19, and the full squad is scheduled to report Feb. 22 and work out for the first time as a group on Feb. 23.
Major League Baseball on Monday released the first workout dates for all 30 clubs. The 2016 season will be the Astros' 32nd and final season training at the Osceola County Stadium complex in Kissimmee. The club, which has held Spring Training in Kissimmee since 1985, is scheduled to move to the new complex it will share with the Nationals in West Palm Beach, Fla., in '17.
The Astros start the 2016 Grapefruit League season March 3 vs. the Philadelphia Phillies in Clearwater, Fla. Houston's home opener will be March 4 vs. the St. Louis Cardinals at Osceola County Stadium.
