The Houston Astros organization realizes that true heroes wear uniforms. But not baseball uniforms. On Tuesday, Astros teammates Cody Clark, Lucas Harrell and Josh Zeid visited the firefighters of Station 68. And Jake Elmore, Josh Fields and Brad Peacock visited Station 51.
The players honored the lives of four Houston firefighters who were killed in a massive hotel fire back in May. It was the deadliest day in the Houston Fire Department’s 118-year history. The players and GM Jeff Luhnow learned how to use some of the equipment, handed out free lunches, signed jerseys and posed for photos. Supporting the true heroes.
