The three pillars of the Cover Your Bases campaign are focused on early detection and prevention of cancer, including Healthy Eating and Active Living, Sun Safety, and Screenings.

Cover Your Bases will be executed through co-branded PSAs, in-ballpark promotions and 10 sunscreen stations located in SunTrust Park. Once again this September, the American Cancer Society will join forces with the Braves to support their Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

"We are honored to partner with an organization that does such incredible work and thrilled to launch the Cover Your Bases campaign in conjunction with the American Cancer Society," said Atlanta Braves Vice President of Marketing Adam Zimmerman. "The campaign will be a great start to raise awareness for cancer prevention in Braves Country, and we will continue to identify opportunities to support this mission in hopes of ultimately saving many lives."

Together the Atlanta Braves Foundation and the American Cancer Society will raise funds to save lives from cancer. Fundraising efforts will be focused on Braves Country to create impact in a variety of ways during the partnership, to affect the greatest number of people.

"With the help of partners like the Atlanta Braves, we're able to reach more people and strengthen our cancer prevention efforts," said Sharon Byers, chief development and marketing officer, American Cancer Society. "The Cover Your Bases campaign is an opportunity for us to educate baseball fans on how to reduce their risk of many types of cancer by making healthy choices, and being sun smart."
