Avi exits game because of back spasms

CHICAGO -- White Sox outfielder Avisail Garcia left Saturday night's 8-2 victory over the Twins after the second inning with back spasms.

Garcia, who was hit by a pitch Friday night, lined out to Minnesota second baseman Brian Dozier in his only at-bat. He had just one chance in the field, fielding a single by Trevor Plouffe and throwing the ball to cutoff man Jose Abreu.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura doesn't feel it's anything serious, but estimated the right fielder could miss "a couple of days."

Garcia, though, is hoping to play on Sunday.

"Nothing serious," he said. "Just felt something in the first inning. They think it's a spasm. Hopefully, I'm playing [Sunday]."
