Escape to Citizens Bank Park on Monday, August 27 for the Phillies inaugural Margaritaville Night! Join Parrot Heads, beach lovers and baseball fans for a night of fun in paradise at the 7:05 p.m. Phillies game. Before the game, Jimmy Buffett tribute band "Jimmy and the Parrots" will perform from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. in Ashburn Alley.
Fans purchasing tickets through the Theme Nights Page will receive an exclusive Margaritaville Night T-shirt giveaway. Plus, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Singing For Change Charitable Foundation, Inc.
Also on Monday, César Hernandez will be presented with the Phillies 2018 Heart and Hustle Award on-field by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) before the 7:05 p.m. Phillies game. This award recognizes active players who demonstrate a passion for the game of baseball and best embody the values, spirit and traditions of the game. The Heart and Hustle Award is also the only award in Major League Baseball that is voted on by former players.
Plus, the Phillies will honor Don DiJulia, long-time Saint Joseph's University Athletic Director, with a ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. One of the most respected administrators in college athletics, DiJulia retired at the end of the 2017-18 academic year. He has been inducted into the Saint Joseph's Athletic Hall of Fame, the Big 5 Hall of Fame and the ECAC Hall of Fame.
On Tuesday, August 28, a food collection will be held at all gates. Donate non-perishable food and help those in need through Philabundance as part of Rotary Strike Out Hunger Night at the 7:05 p.m. Phillies game.
Plus, Tuesday is the 12th annual Stitch-N-Pitch Night. Needlearts enthusiasts are invited to knit, crochet, embroider, cross-stitch and needlepoint while enjoying the game. Fans purchasing tickets through the Theme Nights Page will receive a Stitch-N-Pitch t-shirt.
Fans are invited to donate a new, handmade blanket to a child in need to Project Linus. These blankets will be distributed locally to children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies and anywhere else children are in need. Collection boxes will be located at the "break" area behind Pavilion Section 210.
Also on Tuesday, celebrate mummery at Mummers Night with performances by the Greater Kensington String Band on-field pregame, on the main concourse and with the Phanatic in the fifth inning.
Calling all Super Hero™ fans, Wednesday, August 29 is MARVEL Super Hero™ Day! Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Super Heroes™ at the 7:05 p.m. Phillies game.
Plus, fans purchasing tickets through the Theme Nights Page will receive a limited-edition Phillies Hulk bobblehead.
