Bellinger was placed on the injured list Wednesday with a right rib fracture. The outfielder left Tuesday's game against the Astros after sustaining the injury in a collision with the outfield wall. More >

Max Scherzer, Rangers

Scherzer (herniated disk) joined Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday to make his first rehab start against the Salt Lake Bees. He tossed 2 1/3 innings, giving up three runs, two of which were solo homers. More >

Gerrit Cole, DJ LeMahieu, Tommy Kahnle and Oswald Peraza, Yankees

Cole (right elbow discomfort) has increased his throwing to distances of 120 feet as of Tuesday.

LeMahieu (right foot fracture) began a Minor League rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset on Tuesday but left the game after one inning due to soreness in his right foot. He will return to New York for examination on Wednesday.

Kahnle (right shoulder inflammation) tossed from a bullpen mound again on Friday in Tampa, Fla., according to manager Aaron Boone, who said Sunday that Kahnle needs one more such session before facing hitters in a live situation.

Peraza (right sub-scapular strain) is “deep into his throwing program” and has been hitting at the Yankees’ complex in Tampa, Fla., Boone said Sunday. More >

Framber Valdez and Cristian Javier, Astros

Valdez (left elbow inflammation) threw 40 pitches in the bullpen Wednesday at Wrigley Field and is expected to come off the IL and return to the Astros' rotation either Saturday or Sunday against the Rockies in Mexico City, manager Joe Espada said.

Javier (right neck discomfort) flew to Houston from Chicago on Tuesday to get checked out by team doctors. More >

Miguel Sanó, Angels

Sanó left the Angels' Wednesday afternoon game against the Orioles due to soreness in his left knee. Manager Ron Washington said postgame that the injury is not serious. More >

J.P. Crawford and Cal Raleigh, Mariners

Crawford (right oblique soreness) was a late scratch from Wednesday's lineup.

Raleigh was out of the lineup Wednesday after having oral surgery that morning. More >

Carlos Correa and Jhoan Duran, Twins

Correa (mild right intercostal strain) said Wednesday that he was swinging and participating in baseball activity, and there's some possibility that he could return during the Twins' next road trip without a rehab assignment if all tracks well and he checks out well over the weekend.

Duran (right oblique strain) will make his second appearance with Triple-A St. Paul on Friday. More >

Brayan Bello, Triston Casas and Nick Pivetta, Red Sox

Bello was placed on the 15-day injured list with right lat tightness on Wednesday. More >

Pivetta (flexor strain) threw his first bullpen on Saturday at PNC Park, and he's slated to throw an up-and-down bullpen on Thursday in Cleveland before progressing to live batting practice. More >

Francisco Alvarez and J.D. Martinez, Mets

Alvarez underwent successful surgery to repair a torn UCL in his left thumb on Tuesday.

Assuming Martinez (back tightness) reports no issues after playing a second consecutive game for Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, he will make his Mets debut Friday against the Cardinals. More >

Murphy (left oblique tightness) has started to catch bullpens and is throwing at full strength, but he still may be at least a week away from being cleared to begin swinging a bat.

Albies (fractured right big toe) was cleared to take batting practice before Monday night's game against the Marlins and could be ready to return to the lineup as soon as Friday, the first day he would be eligible to come off the 10-day IL. More >

John Means and Austin Hays, Orioles

Means (left elbow) made his fifth rehab start for Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday. Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Wednesday that it's possible Means could make his next start with the O's, which could potentially be on Sunday vs. the A's at Camden Yards.

Hays was placed on the 10-day IL Monday with a left calf strain. More >

Lane Thomas, Josiah Gray and Keibert Ruiz, Nationals

Thomas was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with an MCL sprain in his left knee.

Gray (flexor strain) is playing catch up to 75 feet.

Gavin Williams, Guardians

After his three-inning start in Arizona, Williams experienced the same soreness in the back of his right elbow that shut him down during Spring Training. He flew to Cleveland to meet with the medical staff and received external opinions. It was determined that receiving an anti-inflammatory injection on Wednesday would be the best path forward. Pete Fairbanks and Jose Siri, Rays

Fairbanks has been placed on the 15-day injured list retroactive to Friday with a nerve-related issue. He underwent further testing on Tuesday that came back "really clean," per manager Kevin Cash.
