Three of the younger prospects in the Padres' Minor League system had huge games Monday.

Shortstop Ruddy Giron was 4-for-7 with his eighth homer for five RBIs in Fort Wayne's 10-9, 12-inning win at South Bend.

But second baseman Luis Urias celebrated his promotion to the TinCaps going 3-for-4 with a double, a RBI and four runs. He was also hit by a pitch to start Fort Wayne's game-winning two-run rally in the top of the 12th.

And center fielder Dayon Olmo was 4-for-6 with a double, two triples, a walk, six RBIs and four runs scored with the Padres of the Dominican Summer League.

Giron, who was born Jan. 4, 1997, in the Dominican Republic, pushed his batting average to .331. He also stole his 10th base Monday, but committed two errors to raise his season total to 12 in 44 games at Fort Wayne. Among his 59 hits are four doubles and four triples for 27 RBIs and 36 runs. He has a .383 on-base percentage and a .534 slugging percentage. He also drove in the winning run Monday. Urias, who was born June 3, 1997, in Mexico, was hitting .355 in 10 games with short-season Class A Tri-City before being promoted to Fort Wayne on Monday. He was 11-for-31 with the Dust Devils with five walks against only one strikeout. He replaced Giron as the youngest player in the Midwest League.

Olmo, who was born on Nov. 15, 1996, in the Dominican Republic, is hitting .263 with 18 walks in 24 games with the DSL Padres for a .397 on-base percentage. He is 26-for-99 with four doubles, three triples and a homer for 17 RBIs and 24 runs scored in 24 games. He has drawn 18 walks for a .397 on-base percentage.

Urias was one of four players on the move in the Padres' system Monday. Urias was promoted after infielder Felipe Blanco was promoted from Fort Wayne to Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore. Right-hander Bryce Morrow, who recently came off the disabled list, was promoted from Double-A San Antonio to Triple-A El Paso. Left-hander Robbie Erlin, who was 5-5 with a 6.19 ERA in 16 starts with El Paso, was placed on the Chihuahuas seven-day disabled list.
