JUPITER, Fla. -- Putting a twist on the focus of Presidents Day, cardinals.com caught up with team president Bill DeWitt III and offered him the opportunity to address the fan base on a variety of topics. He chose to talk about three areas in particular:
On Busch Stadium: "As usual, fans arriving on Opening Day in 2017 will notice many subtle and a couple big changes in the stadium, as we like to constantly keep the place state-of-the-art and responsive to evolving fan expectations. We are converting the party rooms on the 300 level into the Perficient Red Jacket Club, which is an all-inclusive area that pays tribute to Cardinals Hall of Famers who wear the red jackets at official functions."
"We are doing an extensive renovation to the Family Pavilion, the right-field area where families come for interactive and other amenities for kids and their parents. We are improving and adding to the sound system in the concourses, which had some patches of low or no audio of the game broadcasts. We are upgrading security in a number of areas to keep pace with evolving standards of Major League Baseball and the Department of Homeland Security."
On Ballpark Village: "As was announced a few months ago, we are excited to get going on Phase II of Ballpark Village in late 2017 (if all goes well!). It will include a modern, 29-story apartment tower with views of the playing field to the south, the Arch to the north, and the Mississippi River to the east. Phase II will also include an office tower, a marketplace for residents and visitors and additional retail, including a few high-end restaurants. This will really put the 'Village' in Ballpark Village."

On the Cardinals Insider Show: "Cardinals Insider is a weekly TV show produced by the Cardinals that takes a behind-the-scenes look at everything going on around here that is interesting to Cardinals fans. All the episodes can be viewed on our website, as well as Fox Sports Midwest and other local and regional stations. This will be our second year producing the show, and we are doubling down on our investment in talent and content that will create a show that is the perfect way to stay on top of everything Cardinals as the season unfolds."
