The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have acquired RHP DREW STOREN from the Washington Nationals in exchange for OF BEN REVERE and a player to be named later.
STOREN, 28, appeared in 58 games for the Nationals last season recording 29 saves with a 3.44 ERA, adding 67 strikeouts in 55 innings. In 2014, the 6-1 right-hander posted a 1.12 ERA, to lead all National League relievers. The Indianapolis, Indiana native now has 95 career saves over his six seasons, with a career-high 43 (4th in NL) in 2011.
REVERE, 27, was acquired from the Phillies on July 31, posted a .319 average with Toronto in 56 games. The left-handed hitter added 31 stolen bases on the season, his 4th season with 30 or more.
