Blue Jays announce Minor League affiliate staffs

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS announce the following appointments to their minor league affiliate staffs for the 2015 season. The managers for the upcoming season will be GARY ALLENSON (Buffalo-AAA), BOBBY MEACHAM (New Hampshire-AA), OMAR MALAVE (Dunedin- High A), KEN HUCKABY (Lansing- Low A), JOHN SCHNEIDER (Vancouver- Short Season), DENNIS HOLMBERG (Bluefield- Rookie Advanced), CESAR MARTIN (Gulf Coast- Rookie) and JOSE MATEO (Dominican Summer League- Rookie). HUCKABY will be making his managerial debut in 2015, while MARTIN returns to the role after several seasons as manager for the Dominican Summer League entry.

HUCKABY, 43, made his coaching debut in 2013 as hitting coach with the Bluefield Blue Jays entry before joining the Lansing Lugnuts in the same capacity last season. The San Leandro, California native had a six year Major League career with five teams, including a career-high 88 games with the Blue Jays in 2002.

MARTIN, 33, spent several seasons as Dominican Summer League manager, leading them to a 41-29 mark in 2013, before his appointment as hitting coach in Bluefield last season. Signed by the Blue Jays in 1998, Martin spent four seasons as a player before embarking on his coaching career in 2003, all in the Blue Jays system.
