Blue Jays announce roster moves

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have selected the contract of INF STEVE TOLLESON and recalled OF ANTHONY GOSE from Buffalo of the International League (AAA). INF JONATHAN DIAZ has been optioned to Buffalo, while OF MOISES SIERRA has been designated for assignment.

TOLLESON, 30, has appeared in 19 games for the Buffalo Bisons this season, batting .236 with one home run, nine RBI, 12 walks and a .345 OBP. The 5-11, 185 pound right-handed hitter has played in 54 Major League games for Oakland and Baltimore in two seasons, posting .225 average with three home runs and 10 RBI.

GOSE, 23, is batting .235 for Buffalo in 19 games, including 12 walks in 68 at-bats and a .350 OBP. The Paramount, California native has spent parts of the last three seasons with the Blue Jays hitting .238 with three home runs, 23 RBI and 20 stolen bases in 109 games.
