Blue Jays claim Beck
The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have claimed RHP CHAD BECK off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates.
BECK, 27, returns to the club after being claimed by the Pittsburgh Pirates on October 25, 2012. The 6-4, 255 pound right-hander appeared in 14 games for the Blue Jays last season, posting a 6.32 ERA. In 43 games for Las Vegas (AAA), Beck recorded 18 saves, 4th in the PCL, along with a 2-0 record and a 1.31.
The Blue Jays now have 40 players on the 40-man roster.
