Blue Jays claim Wilson

The Toronto Blue Jays have claimed catcher BOBBY WILSON off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Wilson, 29, appeared in 75 games for the Angels last season batting .211 with five doubles, three home runs and 13 RBI.  The 6-0, 220 lb. right-handed hitter posted a .277 on-base percentage and threw out 25% (15-60) of would be base stealers.  In parts of five Major League seasons the Dunedin, Florida native has batted .208 in 191 games with a .272 on-base percentage.

To make room on the 40-man roster RHP CHAD BECK was designated for assignment.
