Blue Jays Place Lind On Disabled List

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have placed 1B ADAM LIND on the 15-day disabled list with a right foot fracture. 1B DAN JOHNSON has been recalled from Buffalo of the International League (AAA) and to make room on the 40-man roster RHP BOBBY KORECKY has been designated for assignment.

JOHNSON, 34, has spent all of 2014 with the Bisons with his .248 average, .402 OBP and league leading 17 home runs earning him a selection as the 1B on the International League All-Star team. The left-handed hitter leads all of affiliated baseball (MLB and MiLB) in walks (79), 27 more than any other IL batter. A veteran of 416 Major League games, Johnson holds a career .236 average with 56 home runs and 194 RBI for Oakland, Tampa Bay, Chicago (White Sox) and Baltimore.
