The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have signed RHP MARCO ESTRADA to a one-year contract extension at US $13 million.
ESTRADA is completing his 3rd season as a Blue Jay and 10th overall. In his three seasons in Toronto, the Sonora, Mexico native has posted a 31-25 record with a 3.81 ERA. The 2016 All-Star, recorded a combined .203 opponents average from 2015-16 to lead the American League. Estrada will establish a career-high in innings pitched with 4.2 additional innings this season. The 34-year-old has played for three different clubs in his Major League career (WAS, MIL, TOR) and owns a 54-51 record with a 4.02 ERA in 248 appearances, 159 starts.
