• Right-hander Jose Campos underwent Tommy John surgery Friday at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Team physician Dr. Christopher Ahmad performed the surgery on the 21-year-old prospect, who spent the past two seasons with Class A Charleston.

• The Yankees signed right-hander Chris Leroux to a Major League contract prior to Saturday's game against the Angels and added him to the 25-man roster, optioning righty Shane Greene to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and releasing lefty Nik Turley.

Leroux made two starts at Triple-A, allowing nine runs in 6 1/3 innings. He posted a 1.32 ERA in Spring Training with the Yankees, allowing two earned runs and striking out nine in 13 2/3 innings.
