Bourjos day to day after injuring left thumb
ANAHEIM -- Peter Bourjos left Sunday's finale vs. the Pirates prior to the fourth inning with a left thumb injury.
Bourjos appeared to have hurt the thumb on a takeout slide into second base during the second inning.
Brad Hawpe entered the game for Bourjos, but in right field. J.B. Shuck slid over to left and Mike Trout assumed center-field duties.
Bourjos underwent precautionary X-rays after the game, the results of which the Angels were awaiting.
