With a potential playoff berth at stake, the Atlanta Braves have been willing to tap into their deep crop of pitching prospects. After Bryse Wilson's gem for Triple-A Gwinnett on Wednesday, the 20-year-old right-hander could soon be in the mix as well. Wilson, the Braves' No. 13 prospect, spun a gem, racking up a career-high 13 strikeouts while allowing just one hit over eight scoreless innings in the Stripers' 4-3 win against Louisville. He set a new Gwinnett single-game franchise record for strikeouts, breaking Charlie Morton's 12-K mark from 2009.

Wilson faced the minimum 24 batters in the outing, as he erased a fourth-inning single with a double play and then retired the final 12 batters he faced. Of his 98 pitches, 72 were strikes.
Promoted to Triple-A on Aug. 1, Wilson combined to allowed 10 earned runs in 12 innings across his first two starts for Gwinnett -- earning the win in both outings, however -- before breaking out in his third turn.

Wilson's dominant performance was merely the latest in what's been a breakout campaign for the 2016 fourth-round pick. Making 23 starts across three levels, the 6-foot-1, 225-pound righty has compiled a 3.27 ERA with 139 strikeouts and 37 walks in 123 2/3 innings. He's allowed eight home runs, including five at the Triple-A level.
Wilson along with fellow Gwinnett hurlers Luiz Gohara, Touki Toussaint and Kyle Wright could all be options for the Braves down the stretch.

• No. 30 overall prospect Alex Kirilloff (Twins' No. 2) extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a perfect night at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles to help power Class A Advanced Fort Myers past Charlotte, 3-2. The 20-year-old outfielder is slashing .378/.397/.566 over 48 games in the Florida State League and owns a .353/.394/.589 line with 65 extra-base hits (17 HR, 7 3B, 41 2B) and 93 RBIs in 113 games on the season.
• On the mound for the Miracle, flame-thrower Brusdar Graterol (Twins' No. 4, No. 79 overall) carried a no-hit bid into the sixth inning before completing seven innings of one-run ball to earn the win. The 19-year-old righty mixed three hits with three walks and six strikeouts on 89 pitches (56 strikes) while matching the longest outing of his career.
• No. 42 overall prospect Leody Taveras (Rangers' No. 1) fell a double short of the cycle for Class A Advanced Down East. He connected on a leadoff homer, added a run-scoring single in the second inning and then followed it with an RBI triple in his next trip to the plate before finishing 3-for-5 with three RBIs. Over 114 games in the Carolina League, the 19-year-old outfielder is hitting .242 with 24 extra-base hits and 15 steals.
• No. 63 overall prospect Peter Alonso (Mets' No. 2) connected on his 30th home run of the year, hitting an eighth-inning solo shot that put Triple-A Las Vegas ahead for good against Fresno. He's the fourth Minor Leaguer to reach the 30-homer mark this season, joining Seuly Matias, Ibandel Isabel and Bobby Dalbec.

• No. 71 overall prospect Adonis Medina (Phillies' No. 3) matched his career high by striking out 12 batters over seven innings for the second time in five starts for Class A Advanced Clearwater. Throwing just 87 pitches (63 strikes) in a dominant performance, the 21-year-old righty allowed one earned run on four hits and did not issue a walk. He's compiled 112 strikeouts and 31 walks over 98 1/3 innings this season and continues to show strong solid ground-ball tendencies.
• Astros No. 8 prospect J.B. Bukauskas was lights-out once again for Class A Advanced Buies Creek, recording his second straight win with a career-best performance. The 2017 first-rounder allowed just one hit over career-long seven scoreless innings, walking one and striking out five and generating another seven outs on the ground.
• Marlins No. 22 prospect Joe Dunand was already 1-for-2 at the plate before he added a pair of two-run homers and a double to finish with a career-high four hits and four RBIs (tied) in Double-A Jacksonville's 9-2 win over Pensacola. The 2017 second-round pick has hit 13 homers over 111 games in his first full season, including six in 45 games in Double-A after his first ever multi-homer game Wednesday.

• Orioles No. 18 prospect Zac Lowther sports a 2.11 ERA in 20 starts this season after firing seven scoreless frames of two-hit ball with eight strikeouts and two walks in a win for Class A Advanced Frederick. The 22-year-old lefty has piled up 134 strikeouts in 106 2/3 innings (11.3 K/9) across two levels this season to go along with his stellar ERA.
• Rays No. 20 prospect Resly Linares allowed two hits over seven scoreless innings to pace Class A Bowling Green in a combined three-hit shutout against Great Lakes. He struck out seven without issuing a walk and threw 59 of 84 pitches for strikes. The promising 20-year-old lefty has permitted one run while totaling 21 strikeouts over his last three starts (18 innings).

• Royals No. 9 prospect Kris Bubic matched his career high as he struck out 10 batters for the second time in three starts for Rookie-level Idaho Falls. The No. 40 overall pick in this year's Draft, Bubic allowed two hits, walked one and hit one batter. The 20-year-old lefty out of Stanford has whiffed 37 batters in 25 professional innings.
