ATLANTA -- Southeast residents who are displaced because of Hurricane Irma are invited to attend any game played at SunTrust Park this weekend as guests of the Braves.
The Braves announced all Florida residents and residents of counties in Georgia and South Carolina under mandatory evacuation can receive at least one ticket for any game played during the four-game series that runs through Sunday against the Marlins. Those affected can come to the Braves ticket office on the day of the game, show a valid identification and receive a complimentary ticket. Guests accompanied by their children will also receive tickets for the kids.
"We know how difficult it has been for those who have had to pack up and leave their homes as Hurricane Irma approaches," Braves president of business Derek Schiller said. "We hope we can help take their mind off the storm for a few hours by coming to enjoy a baseball game at SunTrust Park."
The Braves hosted the Marlins at 7:35 p.m. ET on Thursday. Friday's game is also at 7:35 p.m. ET; Saturday's game will begin at 7:05 p.m. ET; and the first pitch for Sunday's series finale is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. ET.
