ATLANTA -- Heading into Sunday's start, Julio Teheran had an 0.80 ERA in five May outings.
Teheran doubled the amount of earned runs he had allowed in the month in the Braves' 7-3 loss to the Marlins in front of a sellout crowd at Turner Field.
The 25-year-old right-hander gave up three runs on five hits over 5 1/3 innings with three walks and three strikeouts. Teheran (1-5, 2.77 ERA) pitched through a nagging blister on his right foot, which he said had been bothering him his last few starts.
"Yeah, I was trying to battle, and the whole game it was painful, but it's one of those things that you try to put on the side," Teheran said.
With a 2-2 count on Marcell Ozuna in the fourth, Braves trainers went to the mound to check on Teheran, who was visibly uncomfortable. He remained in the game until Derek Dietrich chased him with a one-out, two-run homer in the sixth.
"I wanted to go in there, and he got me pretty good," Teheran said.

A second-inning walk to Dietrich snapped a 16 2/3-frame streak that Teheran did not issue a free pass.
May was a mixed bag for Teheran, who went 1-1 with a 1.38 ERA in six starts. He pitched into the seventh inning four times but got little run support.
