Kemp day to day after exiting with tight hammy

WASHINGTON -- Braves left fielder Matt Kemp exited Wednesday's game against the Nationals in the bottom of the third inning, following a play in which he was thrown out at third base in the top of the frame.
Kemp, who started the play at first base after hitting a single, took off after Nats catcher 's errant throw to right field. The veteran outfielder then rounded second before sliding feet-first into third, where he was tagged out by . He was replaced by reserve outfielder Danny Santana in the bottom of the third inning.
Kemp said afterward he felt tightness in his left hamstring, but didn't think it was serious as his previous injury, which was to his right hamstring. 

"Just being cautious," he said. "Don't want to go down this same path again."
"It's a day-to-day type of thing," added Braves manager Brian Snitker. "We'll check him out Friday when he gets in there. He tested out good [after he exited]. It's just tight, nothing [popped] or anything like that like the last time. "
In his first full season with Atlanta, the 32-year-old is enjoying a career renaissance. He entered Wednesday's game slashing .326/.363/.558 with 11 home runs and 32 RBIs.
