Camargo turns in five-hit game in Rome's loss

Shortstop Johan Camargo, the Braves' No. 11 prospect, collected a career-high five hits Wednesday, but Class A Rome lost, 11-6, when West Virginia scored six runs in the ninth inning.

Camargo finished the game 5-for-5 with a double, triple and two runs. It was his sixth multihit game in his last eight.

Camargo struggled at the start of the season, hitting .167/.242/.167 in 23 games at April. But he has turned it around this month, hitting .325/.379/.422 in 25 games in May.

This is Camargo's first year in full-season ball. The 20-year-old Panamanian is hitting .246/.310/.293.

No. 13 prospect Edward Salcedo went 2-for-5 with a home run and a stolen base in the loss Wednesday. In 42 games this season, Salcedo is hitting .216 with three home runs and three stolen bases.
