Braves to Host Kids Week from June 5-11

The Atlanta Braves will be hosting a special week of activities during their next homestand, geared specially towards the kids in Braves Country. From June 5-11, the youngest Braves fans can visit SunTrust Park to participate in a variety of activities as part of Kids Week.

The Atlanta Braves will be hosting a special week of activities during their next homestand, geared specially towards the kids in Braves Country. From June 5-11, the youngest Braves fans can visit SunTrust Park to participate in a variety of activities as part of Kids Week.
Additionally, all Atlanta Braves Kids Club members will be able to play games in Hope & Will's Sandlot for free from Monday, June 5 through Thursday, June 8. All members need to do is show their Kids Club passport in line to play carnival games, ride the zip line and climb the rock wall at no charge. The Braves will celebrate PLAY BALL Weekend presented by Chevrolet and Scotts from June 9-11 with more kids activities. PLAY BALL Weekend is a league-wide effort by Major League Baseball and all 30 Clubs to engage young baseball fans and celebrate the continued support of youth participation in baseball and softball.
Many events throughout the week will take place in the Plaza located outside of SunTrust Park and will be accessible to all children. The remainder of the events will take place inside SunTrust Park and only accessible for ticket holders. Please see below to identify which events require a game ticket. Kids Week activities include:
· Monday, June 5 - Kids Run the Bases Under the Lights
Kids 14 and younger can line up at the Third Base Ramp and run the bases under the lights after the game. During the game, kids can also enjoy free face painting in Hope & Will's Sandlot. Game ticket required for participation.
· Tuesday, June 6 - Kids-Only Press Conference
Come to the Georgia Power Pavilion located on the Plaza by 6:15 p.m. and be a part of a press conference with current Braves players, available only to kids! The first 1,500 kids through the gates that night will also receive a $5 Academy Sports + Outdoors Gift Card. Kids-only press conference is open to all children; gift card giveaway requires game ticket and will be given to first 1,500 kids through the gates.
· Wednesday, June 7 - Pregame Parade with Player High-fives
The first 1,000 kids 14 and younger can line up at the Third Base Ramp by 6:15 p.m. to participate in a pregame parade on the field, and high-five Braves players as the parade goes past the dugout. Game ticket required for participation.
· Thursday, June 8 - Bat & Ball Combo Giveaway presented by Chevrolet
The first 5,000 kids ages 14 and younger through the gates will receive a Braves plastic bat & ball combo giveaway presented by Chevrolet. Game ticket required for participation and sets will be given to the first 5,000 kids through the gates.
PLAY BALL Weekend presented by Chevrolet and Scotts
· Friday, June 9 - Play Ball Kids Play Day
From 2-4 p.m., kids 14 and younger can participate in a plastic bat and ball home run derby in the Plaza and play games in Hope & Will's Sandlot for free. This event is open to all children, no game ticket required for either component.
· Saturday, June 10 - Play Ball Tutorial with Braves Alumni
From 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m., Braves alumni will put on hitting, fielding and throwing demonstrations for kids in the Georgia Power Pavilion located on the Plaza. This event is open to all children, no game ticket required.
· Sunday, June 11 - Bat & Ball Combo Giveaway presented by Chevrolet
