HOUSTON, TX - Astros left-handed pitcher Brett Oberholtzer will be the guest on Astroline this Thursday, Feb. 5, at 7 p.m. CT at Pluckers Wing Bar for the ninth installment of the offseason radio program. Astros radio play-by-play commentator Robert Ford will serve as the host.

Thursday's Astroline, which is presented by Karbach Brewing Co., will air on KBME SportsTalk 790 AM and will stream online at Astros.com/Astroline. All shows are scheduled to broadcast on KBME SportsTalk 790, but are subject to change due to scheduling conflicts. Astroline broadcasts live, weekly from 7-8 p.m. CT during the offseason. For the second consecutive season, Astroline is airing from Pluckers Wing Bar, which is located at 1400 Shepherd Dr., Houston, Texas, 77007.

Starting March 5, Astroline will return to the ESPN Club Restaurant on Disney's BoardWalk for the final four broadcasts from Florida during Spring Training.  Astroline runs through March (16 segments overall). On-site locations for Astroline are open to the public with no admission charge.

Oberholtzer, 25, pitched in a career-high 24 games (all starts) and posted a 4.39 ERA (70ER/143.2IP) in 2014. The south-paw's 1.75 walks per 9.0 innings ranked ninth among AL pitchers with at least 135.0 innings and ranked third among lefties, behind only LHP David Price (1.38) and LHP Wei-Yin Chen (1.70), in what was his second season in the Majors. Oberholtzer's career mark of 1.71 walks per 9.0 innings (41BB/215.1IP) currently ranks third in club history among pitchers with at least 200.0 innings, behind RHP Hal Brown (1.12) and RHP Wilton Lopez (1.57). In his rookie season, 2013, he became the first Astros rookie to throw two complete games in the same season since RHP Roy Oswalt tossed three in 2001.

Ford enters his third season as the Astros radio play-by-play commentator after being named to the post on Feb. 13, 2013. Prior to joining the Astros radio broadcast team, Ford spent four seasons as the pre-and postgame host for the Kansas City Royals radio broadcasts on 610 AM KCSP, the Royals flagship station. The 2001 graduate of Syracuse University spent seven years broadcasting minor league baseball, calling more than 800 games during his stints with the Binghamton Mets, Kalamazoo Kings and Yakima Bears. Ford was twice named Frontier League Broadcaster of the Year (2003 and 2004).
