Brewers Community Foundation's 18th Annual 5K Famous Racing SausagesTM Run/Walk will be held at Miller Park on Saturday, July 30, starting at 8 a.m., rain or shine. Registration is now available online at brewers.com/5krunwalk.

This 2016 event features an all-new route that will once again make its way around the warning track of Miller Park. In addition, participants will get to test their skills against the Klement's Famous Racing SausagesTM, as they also run the course.

All participants must pre-register and the event is expected to sell out quickly. It is recommended that those interested register early. The cost is $30 for registrants until April 30, and $35 for those registering between May 1 and the close of registration on July 28 (or upon sell-out). As part of the registration fee, participants in the Run/Walk receive a commemorative T-shirt, a Terrace Reserved ticket voucher and much more.

When registering to participate, fans are encouraged to set up a fundraising page to support Fisher House Wisconsin. Anyone who contributes $25 or more will receive a Brewers bobblehead and will be automatically entered in a drawing to win a Brewers autographed baseball. Those who raise at least $1,500 will qualify to win the Grand Prize, which includes a Club Level Suite and an opportunity to throw out a first pitch at a 2016 Brewers game. Please note that the Run/Walk registration fee cannot be applied toward personal fundraising levels.

Fisher House provides a "home away from home" for military and veterans' families to be close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. Veterans and their families living beyond 50 miles from the Milwaukee VA hospital are eligible to stay for free at the Fisher House if they need to overnight. The Fisher House program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and ensures that they are provided with the comforts of home in a supportive environment. The future Milwaukee home will be one of the largest built in the United States. Fisher House Wisconsin is scheduled to open in April of 2016. Brewers Community Foundation has donated over $270,000 in the past four years to benefit this worthy organization.
