PHOENIX -- Just how excited was Brewers manager Craig Counsell about Major League Baseball's first Snapchat Day?
"I don't know what's going on with Snapchat," Counsell quipped. "I'm excited about it, though. I'm truly excited about it. I think we can impact the world today with Snapchat."
Not quite.
Instead of changing the world, the Brewers and other clubs had some fun. MLB waived its rule barring social-media use in the dugout for one day only, allowing teams and players to use smartphones to share photos and videos via the popular app.

Those short clips were all compiled into a Brewers Snapchat story, beginning with a Friday morning welcome from reliever Jeremy Jeffress, a user of the app.
There was an obligatory "face swap" naturally, between Jeffress and good buddy Will Smith, and the day proceeded from there. Batting practice with Jonathan Lucroy, a hello from former Brewer Prince Fielder, a haircut for Wily Peralta, high-fives in the dugout for Domingo Santana following a leadoff home run and an on-track view of the famous Sausage Race -- it was all captured in 10-second busts for fans to see.
