Brewers to support "Koos for Kids" fundraiser

Players, coaches, staff and Klements™ Famous Racing Sausages to appear at Milwaukee County Zoo

MILWAUKEE - As part of the Milwaukee Brewers and Brewers Community Foundation's continuing commitment to the community, players, coaches and staff will partake in the "Koos for Kids" event on Sunday, June 14 at the Milwaukee County Zoo. From 4 - 7:30 p.m., all parties will gather to help fundraise for the charity, which exists to enhance the quality of life for terminally ill or disadvantaged children in southeastern Wisconsin.

The "Koos for Kids" organization, which is managed by Brewers bullpen catcher Marcus Hanel (known as "Koos"), was formed in 2005. The entity focuses on helping terminally ill and disadvantaged children in southeast Wisconsin. Through various initiatives, including their winter coat drive, "Koos for Kids" has helped many area kids through difficult times.

The event will feature both a live and silent auction as well as a raffle. Over 100 autographed items from MLB, NFL and NBA stars as well as great prizes such as spa certificates, hotel packages and gift baskets, will be auctioned off. Current Brewers players and staff will also be on hand. To top it all off, the World-Famous Klements™ Racing Sausages will be there to support the cause.

Tickets to the event are available at koosforkids.com. Admission is $20 per person and free for kids ages three and under. An all-day pass to the zoo, parking and player autographs are all included in the price of admission. Food will be available for purchase.
