Broadcasters Foundation names Kalas Award winner

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Broadcasters Foundation on Wednesday named Ambler, Pa., native Kenneth Ayres the 2013 Kalas Award winner.

Ayres is beginning his senior year at West Chester University, where is a communications studies major with a minor in journalism. He is completing his second summer with the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs, where he works in the broadcasting and media relations departments.

Ayres will receive a $1,500 college scholarship to help him complete his senior year at West Chester. He graduates in May 2014.
