Brown continues to tear cover off ball

MILWAUKEE -- Domonic Brown has been on quite a tear lately.

He hit his 17th home run in his last 39 games Saturday in a 4-3 loss to the Brewers at Miller Park. The last Phillies player to hit 17 or more home runs in a single-season span of 40 games? That would be Raul Ibanez, who hit 17 in 40 games from April 8 to May 24, 2009.

Brown entered Sunday's series finale against the Brewers leading the National League with 19 home runs. He also ranked third in the league with 47 RBIs, 136 total bases and a .604 slugging percentage.
