MIAMI -- Buster Posey's night at the dish may not have been eventful, but the Giants catcher still enjoyed his fifth career Midsummer Classic. He caught five innings in the American League's 2-1, 10-inning win over the National League in the 88th MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard on Tuesday at Marlins Park.
"Just having my wife and kids here," Posey said. "My parents were here, so I spent some time with them. It's a quick two days but our kids have been excited about it and I think they had a good time, so that made it special."

Batting fourth, Posey finished 0-for-1 with a walk. His first at-bat in the first inning came against Red Sox ace Chris Sale, an uncomfortable at-bat that resulted in a flyout to center.
"It's fun. I've faced him a couple times in the regular season," Posey said. "Obviously he's got electric stuff. Fastball, changeup and slider. Just looking for something early to hit."
Posey's two-out walk against Dellin Betances in the third loaded the bases, but he was stranded after Daniel Murphy tapped out to second.

It was a busy night behind the dish for Posey. He caught four pitchers -- NL starter Max Scherzer, Pat Neshek, Carlos Martinez and Alex Wood -- with Wood the only one to allow a run.
Posey said he didn't have a problem catching so many different pitchers.
"Just try to talk to them a little bit before the game, and, yeah, just use your instincts," Posey said. "I mean, obviously I've faced a lot of them in the batter's box. But it's a little different behind the plate. All those guys have really good stuff."
Now Posey looks forward to two days of rest before the Giants begin the second half Friday at San Diego.
His key for San Francisco, which sits last in the NL West at 34-56, in the second half?
"Just put your nose to the grindstone," Posey said. "I think that's going to be as much of a key as anything. Unfortunately we're in a bad spot, but it'll be a good test of character."
