D-backs agree with second-rounder Young

ARLINGTON -- The D-backs have agreed to terms with 2015 second-round Draft pick Alex Young, who was the 43rd overall selection.

Young, a left-hander out of Texas Christian University, was 9-3 with a 2.22 ERA in 17 games (16 starts) for the Horned Frogs this past season.

MLB.com's Jim Callis reported that the deal was for $1,431,400, which was the full slot value.

Young will be assigned to the D-backs' Rookie level Arizona League team.
