"We will activate him tomorrow," Francona said. "After the game today we will have to talk to somebody. We are not going to fly someone all the way to Seattle unless something happens."

Chamberlain worked through a 20-pitch mound session on Saturday afternoon and recovered as expected from his first simulated game. Prior to his DL stint, Chamberlain posted a 1.93 ERA with 15 strikeouts and six walks over 14 innings.
