Jeurys Familia yesterday underwent successful procedure to repair a blockage of the posterior circumflex humeral artery on his right side. The surgery was performed by Dr. Robert Thompson in St. Louis. Jeurys can resume throwing in approximately six weeks, with a return to competitive pitching in approximately 3-4 months.
