A's recall OF Brugman from Nashville, option OF Canha to Nashville

Brugman was batting .288 with a home run and eight RBI in 33 games with the Sounds and will be making his Major League debut.

The Oakland A's recalled outfielder Jaycob Brugman from Triple-A Nashville and optioned outfielder Mark Canha to Nashville, the club announced today.
Brugman was batting .288 with a home run and eight RBI in 33 games with the Sounds and will be making his Major League debut. He began the season on Nashville's disabled list with a strained left calf and was reinstated May 3. The 25-year-old left-handed hitter appeared in 15 games in center field, 10 in left field and seven in right field. Brugman was the A's 17th round selection in the 2013 draft and is a .275 career hitter with 41 home runs and 253 RBI in 466 games over five seasons in the A's farm system.
Canha was batting .191 with three home runs and seven RBI in 29 games over two stints with the A's. He hit .214 in 23 games during his second stay, which began on May 9, and was 4-for-45 (.089) over his final 15 games. Canha is batting .232 with five home runs and 16 RBI in 19 games with Nashville.
