Royals Charities to Hold Annual Diamond of Dreams Gala.

The Kansas City Royals will host the Boston Red Sox (June 19-21) and Toronto Blue Jays (June 23-25) during the upcoming homestand. Royals Charities will host the annual on-field gala Diamond of Dreams on June 22. In addition, the Royals will host the Big Slick Celebrity Softball Game on June 23 and Viva Los Reales on June 24. Monday, June 19 - Boston Red Sox vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.
Greatest Save Teen PSA Winners Honored - Prior to the game, students from Rockhurst High School, winners of The Greatest Save Teen PSA Contest in the Kansas City area, will be recognized on the field. The Greatest Save Teen PSA Program is a peer-to peer crime prevention program of the KinderVision Foundation that helps high school students raise awareness and reduce teen victimization. 
Tuesday, June 20 - Boston Red Sox vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.
Leawood Playground Opening - Variety Children's Charity of Kansas City and Royals Charities will be unveiling a new all-inclusive park that will allow children and adults of all physical and mental abilities the opportunity to play together.  The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at Leawood City Park, 10601 Lee Blvd., Leawood, Kan.  FOX Sports Kansas City broadcasters Rex Hudler and Jeff Montgomery are scheduled to attend.  Royals Charities donated $60,000 to help fund the project.
Home Run to Health, powered by Sun Life Financial Celebration Game - Kids who participated in the PLAY Clinic and following a two-week Home Run to Health program will attend the game as guests of the Royals. Top achievers of the program will receive a special pregame tour and the opportunity to watch batting practice.
Check Presentation to Negro Leagues Baseball Museum - Royals Authentics will present a check to Negro Leagues Baseball Museum president Bob Kendrick, representing funds raised through in-stadium and online auction items following the annual Salute to the Negro Leagues game earlier this year.
50/50 Raffle presented by Edelman & Thompson - A portion of the proceeds from the Royals Charities fundraiser during the game will benefit Legal Aid of Western Missouri's Veterans Relief Project. The organization will also distribute information outside the Royals Charities headquarters. For more information, see www.royals.com/5050.

Diamond of Dreams - Royals Charities hosts its biggest fundraiser of the year, Diamond of Dreams, on the field at Kauffman Stadium. The annual event is sold out and features appearances from current and former Royals, a fabulous menu from local restaurants, an exclusive silent auction, a live performance by recording artist LeAnn Rimes, made possible by 99.7 The Point, and a spectacular fireworks show. Diamond of Dreams this year benefits local military organizations Folds of Honor, the USO and the Kansas City VA Medical Center. Those not in attendance may bid on silent auction items until 9:30 p.m. at www.diamond16.gesture.com
Friday, June 23 - Toronto Blue Jays vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.
Big Slick Celebrity Softball Game - The Royals host Kansas City natives Paul Rudd, Rob Riggle, Jason Sudeikis and Eric Stonestreet, as well as Midwesterner David Koechner and other celebrity guests, for a Celebrity Softball Game on the field at Kauffman Stadium. All gates open early at 4:30 p.m. with the softball game set to begin at 5:00 p.m. Tickets for the Royals game include free admission to watch the Celebrity Softball game, and each ticket purchased through www.royals.com/themetickets includes a $5 donation to Royals Charities to assist Big Slick in their fundraising efforts.

Saturday, June 24 - Toronto Blue Jays vs. Royals, 1:15 p.m.
Viva Los Reales - Join the Royals for the annual Viva Los Reales celebration. The pregame party begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Outfield Experience. Fans can enjoy live salsa music by Mundo Nuovo. Local restaurants Anita's, La Flor de Chiapas, Palomino's Restaurante and El Camino Real will all participate in the annual Salsa Showdown. Luis Garcia, an active volunteer in Kansas City's Hispanic community, will sit in the Buck O'Neil Legacy Seat. The Head Consul of Mexico in Kansas City, Alfonso Navarro, will throw out the first pitch. Aramark will also be offering themed food specials across the ballpark at Craft and Draft, the KC Steak Co. in the first base Dugout Concourse, Custom Crust and the Market Place Stand in left field. ·       Green Team - During select games throughout the season, local organizations and volunteers who sign up to be a part of the Royals Green Team, sponsored by Republic Services, will help collect aluminum and recyclable plastics at the stadium gates as well as throughout multiple innings of the game. 
·       Kennedys Host Charity Groups - Pitcher Ian Kennedy and his wife, Allison, host a different community group in a fully-catered Dugout Suite during each Saturday home game. This game, the Kennedys will host families from USO Fort Riley. Their guests will watch batting practice from the suite and visit with Kennedy prior to the game. The Kennedys also will give each guest a special Royals gift.
