The Houston Astros return home on the heels of a 6-1 road trip, extending their division lead to 13.0 games, to take on the Oakland A's (June 27-29) and New York Yankees (June 30 - July 2) in the final homestand of the first half of 2017. The Astros have played very well against division opponents this season, going 28-11 thus far. On June 22, Houston hit the 50-win benchmark, becoming the first team in MLB to do so. The Astros, who currently own an MLB-best record (52-25) and winning percentage (.675), did not win their 52nd game in 2016 until July 22.
Voting for the 2017 All-Star Game ends this Thursday at 10:59 p.m. CT, so Astros fans only have a few more days to make sure Houston is represented at the All-Star Game in Miami! Currently, 2BJose Altuve, SSCarlos Correa and OFGeorge Springer are leaders in their respective categories, but the race is close, especially in the outfield. House Astros of Houston continue the battle for AL Westeros as they take on House Athletics of Oakland during Game of Thrones® Night, which is now sold out! Good lords and ladies who have purchased a Game of Thrones® Night ticket package will receive a Chris "Dragon" Devenski bobblehead and learn the tale of how he earned the name Dragon. The Iron Throne will be set up for photo opportunities for fans in attendance. Those who pledged their honor to House Astros of Houston and purchased a Game of Thrones® Night ticket will also have the opportunity to participate in a pregame parade around the warning track. Space is limited and fans must be wearing Game of Thrones® costume/attire in order to participate.
The 2017 national PLAY (Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth) campaign will stop at Minute Maid Park to promote the importance of children living a healthy and active lifestyle. Astros players Dallas Keuchel and Jake Marisnick will join members of the Astros training staff to educate members of the Astros MLB Youth Academy about the dangers of steroid abuse as well as promote a healthy and active lifestyle. PLAY is a program of the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society, The Taylor Hooton Foundation and Major League Baseball Charities.
Prior to Wednesday's game, the Astros will host a Spanish-language press conference featuring Astros General Manager Jeff Luhnow and Astros players in the press conference room at 2:45 p.m. The press conference will be moderated by Astros Spanish radio broadcaster Francisco Romero.
Astros pitcher Charlie Morton will host 30 Wounded Warrior veterans at Wednesday's game as part of the Astros Salute to Heroes program. The veterans will participate in a meet and greet with Morton prior to Wednesday's 7:10 p.m. first pitch. Date and player subject to change.

Astros second baseman Jose Altuve will be featured on Saturday on MLB Network's new show, "Play Ball," which will air at 9 a.m. CT. Hosted by Eric Byrnes and additional MLB Network analysts, the half-hour show features one-on-one baseball demonstrations and conversations with some of the top personalities in the game. Each week, Play Ball will also include tips on how kids can participate in all forms of baseball activities, plus highlights on and off the field throughout MLB.
Prior to Saturday's matchup, Congressional aide Zachary Barth will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Barth, a legislative correspondent for Representative Roger Williams, was among those tragically shot during practice for the Congressional Baseball Game for Charity in Alexandria, Virginia on June 14.

The Astros will wrap up Play Ball weekend on Sunday with a pregame ceremony as members from the Astros MLB Youth Academy take the field and participate in a "cap exchange" with Astros players.
Additionally, 10,000 fans will receive a Play Ball Bat & Ball Set presented by Chevrolet as they exit the ballpark.
