A's recall RHP Neal from Triple-A Nashville; option RHP Hahn to Nashville

The Oakland A's recalled right-handed pitcher Zach Neal from Triple-A Nashville and optioned right-handed pitcher Jesse Hahn to Nashville, the club announced today.

The Oakland A's recalled right-handed pitcher Zach Neal from Triple-A Nashville and optioned right-handed pitcher Jesse Hahn to Nashville, the club announced today.
Neal joins the A's for the second time this year as he was previously with the club from May 24 to June 16. He compiled an 8.56 ERA and .311 opponents batting average in five relief appearances but walked just one batter in 13.2 innings. The 28-year-old right-hander was 1-4 with a 4.09 ERA and .295 opponents batting average in 12 games, including seven starts, with Nashville. He walked just six batters in 50.2 innings, an average of 1.07 per nine innings. Neal went 0-2 with a 5.54 ERA and .411 opponents batting average in three games, including two starts, with the Sounds following his June 17 option from Oakland.
Hahn went 3-6 with a 5.30 ERA in 14 games, including 13 starts, with Oakland. He was on the disabled list from May 24 to June 6 with a strained right triceps and was 2-2 with a 9.00 ERA and .372 opponents batting average in five starts following his return. Hahn began the season with Nashville but did not appear in a game before he was recalled by Oakland April 5.
