D-backs reinstate A.J. Pollock from the 10-day disabled list

The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) reinstated OF A.J. Pollock from the 10-day disabled list (strained right groin). Following Sunday's game, Ildemaro Vargas (ILL-de-mar-oh) was optioned to Triple-A Reno.
Pollock, 29, was placed on the 10-day disabled list on May 15 with a strained right groin. In 7 rehab appearances with Reno, he hit .278 (5-for-18) with 2 doubles, 2 homers, 2 RBI and 4 walks.
In 37 games for the D-backs, he is hitting .299 (46-for-154) with 12 doubles, 3 triples, 2 homers, 11 RBI, 9 walks, 11 stolen bases, a .337 on-base percentage, a .455 slugging percentage and a .792 OPS.
Vargas, 25, appeared in 2 games in his first stint in the Major Leagues, making his debut on June 29 as a defensive replacement, and was hitless in 2 at-bats.
