Right-handed pitcher Rick Porcello will start tonight's series opener against the Royals, with left-handerEduardo Rodriguez starting on Saturday and left-hander Drew Pomeranz on Sunday.

Price, 31, has made 11 starts for the Red Sox since returning from the disabled list on May 29, going 5-3 with a 3.82 ERA (28 ER/66.0 IP) and 63 strikeouts against 22 walks. He has dealt five quality starts in his last six outings, posting a 2.84 ERA (12 ER/38.0 IP) with 39 strikeouts, eight walks, and just one home run allowed. The 2012 Cy Young Award winner has gone 22-12 in 46 starts since joining the Red Sox in 2016, recording 291 strikeouts next to 72 walks and posting a 3.95 ERA, including a 3.50 mark in his last 39 starts. Selected first overall by Tampa Bay in the 2007 June Draft, the left-hander is 126-68 (.649) with a 3.24 ERA (625 ER/1,737.2 IP) in 264 major league appearances (259 starts) between the Rays (2008-14), Detroit Tigers (2014-15), Toronto Blue Jays (2015), and Red Sox (2016-17).
Scott, 27, has made four scoreless relief appearances for the PawSox since being optioned on July 17, striking out four and allowing just one hit in 4.2 innings. The left-hander made his first career Opening Day roster in 2017 and has appeared in 38 major league games, second-most among American League rookie pitchers. He has posted a 3.75 ERA (10 ER/24.0 IP) and a 1.08 WHIP at the major league level while holding opponents to a .190 batting average, recording 18 strikeouts against 10 walks. Left-handed batters have hit only .103 (4-for-39) against him, the fifth-lowest mark in the majors among pitchers who have faced at least 40 lefties. Scott made his major league debut with the Red Sox last September and was the 2016 recipient of the Lou Gorman Award for demonstrating dedication and perseverance in overcoming obstacles while working his way to the Major League team.
