BOSTON, MA - The Boston Red Sox today traded left-handed pitcher Luis Ysla to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for cash considerations.
President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski made the announcement.
Ysla, 25, went 1-5 with one save and a 5.05 ERA (26 ER/46.1 IP) in 29 relief appearances for Double-A Portland this season. Last year, the Venezuelan left-hander combined for a 3.99 ERA (25 ER/56.1 IP) with four saves in 39 games with Portland and one appearance at Triple-A Pawtucket. Originally signed by San Francisco as an international free agent in 2012, Ysla was acquired by the Red Sox from the Giants in exchange for Alejandro De Aza on August 31, 2015.
