A's recall OF Canha from Triple-A Nashville; Option RHP Brady to Nashville

The Oakland A's recalled outfielder Mark Canha from Triple-A Nashville and optioned right-handed pitcher Michael Brady to Nashville, the club announced today.

The Oakland A's recalled outfielder Mark Canha from Triple-A Nashville and optioned right-handed pitcher Michael Brady to Nashville, the club announced today.
Canha joins Oakland for the third time this year and is batting .191 with three home runs and seven RBI in 29 games. He was on the A's Opening Day roster and went 2-for-19 (.105) in six games before he was optioned to Nashville April 15. The 28-year-old right-handed hitter returned May 9 and hit .214 in 23 games before he was sent back to Nashville June 9. Canha batted .293 with seven home runs and 30 RBI in 46 games with the Sounds following his most recent option and has a .271 average, 21 doubles, two triples, 12 home runs and 46 RBI in 66 games overall at Triple-A.
Brady was recalled from Nashville on Monday for his second stint with the A's this year and pitched 6.0 innings of relief last night against San Francisco. He allowed four runs on five hits and three walks and has a 4.15 ERA in eight relief appearances overall with Oakland. Brady is 3-1 with a 3.35 ERA and .217 opponents batting average in 16 games, including seven starts, with the Sounds.
