Medical update on Michael Conforto

Mets OF Michael Conforto suffered a dislocation of his left shoulder in the game earlier today against the Arizona Diamondbacks. X-rays of the shoulder were negative; however, a subsequent MRI revealed a tear in the posterior capsule in the shoulder. Michael will be placed on the Disabled List Friday. All treatment options, including possible surgery to repair the capsule, are being considered.
