Reds To Celebrate Fiesta Rojos On September 22

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Cincinnati Reds will celebrate "Fiesta Rojos" on Friday, September 22.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Cincinnati Reds will celebrate "Fiesta Rojos" on Friday, Sept. 22 with the following events and activities:
• 11 to 12:30 p.m. at the P&G Cincinnati MLB Youth Academy in Roselawn (2026 E. Seymour Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45237)

  • Hispanic Reds players will meet with 100+ 4th and 5th-grade students from the Academy of Multilingual Immersion Studies, Academy of World Languages and Roberts Academy
  • The students and Reds players will participate in a Q&A, pitching and hitting clinics and salsa dancing lessons
    • Reds players will wear MLB-provided shirts during batting practice with the #PonleAcento logo to promote Hispanic Heritage Month (#PonleAcento translates into "put an accent on it")
    • Reds players and coaches will wear the alternate "Los Rojos" jerseys for the 7:10 p.m. game vs. Boston Red Sox
    • La Mega 97.7 FM will provide live entertainment on Crosley Terrace starting at 5:30 p.m. and Son del Caribe will play in the Kroger Fan Zone
    • Pregame dance performance by The Latin Dolls
    • Simón Sotelo, 1st Vice President, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Vice President, Community Developemt for PNC Bank, will serve as the Honorary Captain of the Game
    • Latina singer Tina DeAlderete will perform the National Anthem
    • Hispanic Reds players will be honored by the Ohio Latino Affairs Commission during a pregame ceremony
    • Honor Guard will feature flags representing all Latin countries 
    • The Cincinnati Bell Hometown Hero of the Game will be U.S. Army Specialist Israel Garza of Blue Ash, Ohio
    • Postgame Rozzi's fireworks show with a Fiesta Rojos soundtrack, presented by Adams Recovery Center. The soundtrack features collaborations of Hispanic and American musicians that can be enjoyed by many cultures.
