ONTO -- Travis Snider was placed on the seven-day disabled list, but Blue Jays manager John Farrell said it was more of a precautionary move than anything else.
"He felt some soreness in his right wrist, so it delayed the initiation of baseball activities," Farrell said. "It's more managing the symptoms. Nothing has changed as far as the initial evaluation. One, we needed the roster spot in Triple-A, and then, two, we didn't want to rush this."
Snider injured his wrist diving for a ball during a game with the Las Vegas 51s on Thursday. The 24-year-old was off to
a hot start, batting .400 with four homers, 23 RBIs and a 1.170 OPS over 19 games.
