Sutton will not broadcast on road trip

PHOENIX -- D-backs broadcaster Daron Sutton will not accompany the team on its upcoming road trip, a team spokesperson said.

The team has declined to say why Sutton is no longer broadcasting, but confirmed that it has nothing to do with any legal or law-enforcement issues.

"We've made a change in the broadcast-talent lineup," D-backs senior vice president of communications Josh Rawitch said. "Daron will be taking some time off."

Rawitch said there is no timetable for Sutton's return.

Sutton has not responded to a voicemail seeking comment.

Radio play-by-play announcer Greg Schulte has shifted over to the TV booth the past two nights with Jeff Munn taking Schulte's place on the radio.
