• Aramis Ramirez made his second straight start on Monday after the Brewers third baseman missed two consecutive games with a sore left wrist. Ramirez received a cortisone shot on Thursday, and manager Ron Roenicke said his status will be handled on a day-to-day basis.

"He's going to let me know [how he feels]," Roenicke said. "He was good yesterday, and he'll continue to let me know how he's doing."

• The Brewers will host a PLAY Campaign event on Tuesday at Miller Park, in an effort to teach children the importance of being healthy and active. Starting at 10:30 a.m. CT, outfielder Nyjer Morgan and members of the Brewers' training staff will work with about 100 local kids, delivering various messages to them about healthy lifestyles. At noon, MLB Commissioner Bud Selig will speak to the children and take questions before giving a presentation with the National Baseball Hall of Fame and making an announcement related to the event.
