Worth noting

• Phillies outfielder Domonic Brown continues to battle a sore left knee. He was not in Friday's lineup against the Braves at Turner Field.

"He's hurt quite a bit," manager Charlie Manuel said.

• Catcher Carlos Ruiz (left foot injury) has been running, but his return remains uncertain.

"He could be activated at some point," Amaro said. "I hope we can activate him. Really, it depends on what the risk is. If we feel like there is a risk if he's playing, that he might tear it, we may not activate him. It's a risk-reward assessment. I know he wants to play. I know he was upset when it happened. I know he's worked hard to be in the position to be activated. But we'll see."

• Right-hander Michael Schwimer, who was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley last week, has told the team he does not feel he can pitch. He has not been placed on the disabled list.
