• The Rangers have extended their working agreement with Triple A Round Rock for four more seasons. The Rangers switched their Triple A affiliation from Oklahoma City two years ago and are now locked in with Round Rock through 2018.

• Joe Nathan, after closing out Tuesday's 6-4 victory over the Indians, has now been successful on 30 straight save opportunities. He is 32-for-33 overall and his only blown save was on April 11 against the Mariners. He is the 14th different reliever since 1969 to have a streak of at least 30 straight successful save opportunities.

• Adrian Beltre has hit 18 home runs over each of the last two Septembers. That's the most for any Major League player. Orioles infielder Mark Reynolds is next with 13.

• Wednesday marked the sixth straight game that the Rangers have faced a right-handed starter. They have two more on the horizon before they are expected to face left-hander Jason Vargas for the Mariners on Saturday.
