• Manager Manny Acta said that third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall is now at the point where he can play two or three games back-to-back. Chisenhall has played in 10 games since returning from a broken right ulna, hitting .242 with a pair of home runs in those contests. Acta said he's "very happy" with how Chisenhall has bounced back.

• Friday's 6-3 loss to the Royals was the sixth straight defeat at the hands of Kansas City. The last time the Indians dropped six contests in a row to the Royals was April 9-June 20, 1978.
