Eaton done for year with broken right hand

PHO View Full Game Coverage ENIX -- D-backs rookie outfielder Adam Eaton was diagnosed with a fractured right hand Saturday night after being hit with a pitch in the seventh inning of the club's 8-2 victory over the Cubs.

The recovery time is estimated around six to eight weeks, ending the 23-year-old's season with only four games remaining on the schedule.

Since being called up from Triple-A Reno earlier this month, Eaton has appeared in every game for the D-backs since Sept. 4.

The outfielder compiled a .382 on-base percentage to go along with two home runs and 19 runs scored.

Before his promotion to the Major Leagues, Eaton was named the MVP of the Pacific Coast League.
